An expanding faculty of senior Malaysian healthcare leaders, aeromedical specialists, emergency physicians and international experts will converge in Malaysia in February 2027, with further speaker announcements expected as Aeromedical Asia 2027 continues to build its programme.

Subang is preparing to welcome a growing line-up of Malaysian, Asian and international leaders when Aeromedical Asia 2027 brings the aeromedical and critical care transport community together on 17 and 18 February 2027 at Subang SkyPark , Selangor, Malaysia.
The International Aeromedical & Critical Care Transport Conference & Exhibition is being developed as a meeting point between aviation and medicine, bringing together expertise spanning air rescue, emergency medicine, critical care transport, aviation medicine, hospital leadership, healthcare travel, aeromedical operations and emerging medical technologies.
At the centre of the Malaysian representation will be Dato’ Suriaghandi Suppiah, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council, who will participate as a VVIP Malaysian Speaker at Aeromedical Asia 2027.
MHTC currently identifies Dato’ Suriaghandi as its Chief Executive Officer. His participation brings a strategic healthcare and international patient-movement perspective to the conference at a time when Malaysia continues to strengthen its position within the regional healthcare travel ecosystem.
His presence also reflects a wider ambition behind Aeromedical Asia 2027: to connect the movement of patients by air with the hospitals, healthcare systems and international networks that receive and support them.
Joining him from Malaysia is Datuk Dr Kuljit Singh, President of the Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia, who joins the programme as a Distinguished Speaker. APHM lists Datuk Dr Kuljit as President for its 2026–2028 term.
Also representing Malaysia is Dr Sivanaesan Letchumanan, President of the Malaysian Medical Association, who joins the programme as a Distinguished Speaker, strengthening the conference’s engagement with the wider Malaysian medical profession.
The Malaysian emergency medicine community will be represented by Dr Mohd Zaki Fadzil bin Senek, joining as an Invited Malaysian Speaker. His work in emergency medicine, prehospital care and disaster medicine adds an important clinical perspective to discussions surrounding the movement of critically ill and injured patients outside the traditional hospital environment.
Rajeswari Kanesin, Head of APAC at apoQlar, will join as a Malaysian Speaker. Her presentation, “Beyond the Hospital: Remote Specialist Support in Aeromedical & Critical Care Transport,” will introduce another increasingly relevant dimension to the conference: how digital technology and specialist connectivity can potentially extend clinical expertise beyond the walls of a hospital and into complex patient transport environments.
The Malaysian faculty will be joined by a substantial international group.
From Germany, Dr Krystian Pracz, CEO of DRF Stiftung Luftrettung, joins Aeromedical Asia 2027 as an International Speaker, bringing experience from the European air-rescue environment and the development of sophisticated helicopter emergency medical services.
Australia will be represented by Whitney Luxford, Founder and CEO of Fit2Fly, whose participation brings experience at the intersection of aviation, passenger health and medical clearance.
From Singapore, Adj. A/Prof Rahul Goswami, Senior Consultant with the Department of Emergency Medicine at Changi General Hospital, joins as an International Speaker. Changi General Hospital confirms his role in emergency medicine and notes postgraduate training in aeromedical retrieval and transport alongside his academic appointments.
India’s Dr Shalini Nalwad, Founder and Director of ICATT, joins as a Featured Asian Speaker. ICATT identifies Dr Nalwad as one of its founders and directors, with extensive experience in critical care and international aeromedical patient transfer.
From Belgium, Alex Van Lierde, Founder and CEO of EMTACS, will participate as an International Speaker, bringing an operational perspective from the aeromedical and critical care transport sector.
South Korea will be represented by Prof. Kang Hyun Lee, M.D., Ph.D., of Yonsei University Wonju College of Medicine, who joins as an International Speaker. His presentation, “Developing HEMS in Asia: Korea’s Experience in Medical Crew Education, Training and Operations,” will examine the development of helicopter emergency medical services from an Asian perspective, including medical crew preparation, training and operational experience.
Together, the 11 speakers announced so far demonstrate the multidisciplinary direction being developed for Aeromedical Asia 2027.

Their backgrounds underline a central reality of aeromedical medicine: safely moving a critically ill or injured patient is rarely the responsibility of one profession or one organisation.
A single aeromedical mission can involve physicians, nurses and paramedics, aviation operators and pilots, hospitals, ground ambulance providers, medical assistance companies, technology providers and healthcare organisations, sometimes across several jurisdictions.
That is why Aeromedical Asia 2027 is being positioned around more than individual presentations.
The wider objective is to create an environment where different components of the aeromedical system can meet, compare experience, discuss operational and clinical challenges, explore new technologies and develop professional relationships across borders.
For Malaysia, the gathering also provides an opportunity to strengthen its connection with the international aeromedical community while showcasing the country’s healthcare and aviation capabilities to professionals arriving from across Asia and beyond.
And the faculty is not yet complete.
Additional Malaysian, Asian and international speakers are expected to be announced as Aeromedical Asia 2027 continues to expand its programme ahead of February 2027.
What is emerging is therefore more than a conference speaker list.
It is a meeting of air rescue, emergency medicine, healthcare leadership, aeromedical transport, technology and international patient care, brought together in Kuala Lumpur around one increasingly important regional conversation.

Aeromedical Asia 2027 intends to bring some of the people helping answer that question into the same room.
